About this Opportunity

Recreation Area Volunteers:

Lake Red Rock, Iowa’s largest lake, provides an array of recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. It is one of Iowa’s premier destinations for camping, biking and water based recreation. The US Army Corps of Engineers manages numerous recreational areas within the project, including 6 campgrounds and 9 day use areas. Much of the public service in these areas is provided by a team of over 50 volunteers. This vibrant team fills 28 service positions including campground hosting, fee collection, custodial work, visitor center staffing, light maintenance, promotional work and program hosting.
