The camp host volunteer will be responsible for campground and day use area coordination. Camp hosts will primarily assists gate attendants with campground check-ins/check-outs. Volunteers will notify gate attendants of parking availability on busy weekends. Volunteer will monitor the campground, day use, and swim beach areas and notify gate attendants, maintenance workers, and park rangers of issues. Volunteer will need to provide a mode of transportation to monitor park areas. Volunteers must be able to work in all weather conditions. This position may require volunteers to assist with traffic control. The volunteer will be required to work weekends and holidays. Other duties may include minor maintenance jobs such as litter pick-up, restroom policing, mowing and painting.
Requirements: Volunteer must possess the ability to work well and deal with all types of people. They must be friendly and always represent professionalism in their duties. Volunteers must be able to effectively work with other volunteers, staff and contractors. Volunteers will be required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week in exchange for a campsite with 50 AMP electrical service, water, and sewage hook-up. Volunteers may have the option to extend their stay if the need persists.
