About this Opportunity
One friendly outgoing adult/couple with a self-contained RV/trailer (if you plan to stay on-site) to volunteer as gate hosts at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers day-use facility – Otter Brook Lake, in Keene, NH. The day-use park is open from Memorial Day Weekend in May through Labor Day Weekend in September. Hosts will greet, provide information, directions and other assistance to the visiting public. Volunteers will not collect fees. Volunteers may be asked to assist with locking and unlocking road gates and buildings, and performing light maintenance. Working weekends and holidays are required. Fingerprints and background check are required. Volunteers will generally work 10am-6pm, Friday through Monday, and would be given a minimum of 3 days off per week. In exchange for volunteering, a minimum of 32 hours/week, hosts will be provided a campsite with water, sewer and electric hookup.
