About this Opportunity

Park Host Teams Harris Branch Recreation Area/Recreation Fee Collection:

Carters Lake is in need of three (3) volunteer host teams to work Harris Branch Beach.  Two (2) sets will be placed at full hook-up sites in park and the additional set will be placed on a full hook-up site at Doll Mountain Campground, approximately 10 to12 minutes away.  Hosts will be responsible for opening and closing the park, taking fees at the register, selling annual passes, and conducting minor traffic control.  Additionally, hosts will be expected to assist Park Rangers in making rounds through the park periodically during open hours.  A rotating schedule will be determined upon arrival, but hosts will be expected to work no more than 20 hours per week as a team.  Park Rangers will be available to assist and will handle particularly sensitive or difficult situations. Positions are required from May 17, 2020 through September 07, 2020. Hosts will be required to have their finger prints taken and complete the necessary paper and online federal background investigation forms per Army regulations. For more information please contact Ranger Allen Earhart or Ranger George McBroom at (706) 334-2248.
