Fiddleneck Day-Use Area/Summer Positions Only:

There are two camp host sites within the Fiddleneck Day-Use Area. This location also features boat ramps, disc golf courses, and picnic areas. Visitation in the summer is high due to the lakes recreational attraction. During the winter months visitation is lower and usually consists of sportsmen and anglers. Volunteers are needed for 3 to 4 month terms that include 20 to 25 hours per week of service. Volunteers ensure that the beauty of New Hogan Lake is preserved for park guests by performing minor maintenance responsibilities. These responsibilities can include, litter pick up, cleaning of park signs, the emptying of fire pits, and other duties. Applicants could be asked to assist the New Hogan staff in educating park guests through the use of booths and special one day events. In the event that other positions are not filled these volunteers may be put in charge of guaranteeing that reservation cards are placed on campsites before guests arrive.
