Park Host:
Volunteer Duties: Our volunteers will help other Natural Resource Management (NRM) folks doing a variety of jobs that will include but not be limited to: Litter pick-up in Day Use Areas, Minor maintenance to area facilities and amenities, May assist NRM staff with special events such as school programs and operation of our Visitor Center, Assist with annual “Walk for your Life” and “Earth Day” events, Assist in presenting and possibly putting on your own camp fire programs at Bridgeport State Park, Assist with Boat Patrols on our reservoir (Rufus Woods Lake) as a deck hand on the boat, and occasionally help out our Wildlife Mitigation Crew with surveys and work needing done at one or more of our Mitigation Sites up the Lake. Rufus Woods Lake is the reservoir that was created when Chief Joseph Dam was constructed and extends from Chief Joe to Grand Coulee Dam which is 50 river miles upstream from Chief Joe.
Special Skills: Be able to run landscaping equipment such as string trimmers, mowers, tractors, small backhoes, Skid Steers, chain saws, etc.
