About this Opportunity

Park Host Doll Mountain and Woodring Branch Campgrounds/Recreation Fee Collection:

Carters Lake is in need of two (2) volunteer host teams each to work weekdays only at Doll Mountain Campground and Woodring Branch Campground. Hosts will be paired with a paid park attendant contractor team that will work weekends.  Hosts will be responsible for opening and closing the gates in the morning and evening.  They will provide information to campers and visitors, check campers in and out, and will make random inspections of the campground.  Schedule will vary and will be determined upon arrival, but hosts will be expected to work no more than 20 hours per week as a team for a full hook-up campsite.  Hosts will not be required to handle cash, but may be required to handle credit card transactions.  Additional gatehouse duties can be explained in more detail upon request. Team one will be required from April 13 through July 17 and Team two required July 13 through October 31. Teams interested in working the full period from April 13 to October 31 will be considered. Hosts will be required to have their finger prints taken and complete the necessary paper and online federal background investigation forms per Army regulations. For more information please contact Ranger Allen Earhart or Ranger George McBroom at (706) 334-2248.
